Antique Japanese Bronze Champleve Pot with Cover

A very attractive bronze pot on apron base and 2 stylized elephant handles is covered by a pierced wood lid with hardstone, possibly jade, knop. The bronze bands having incised concentric heagons enclose the turquoise champleve ground with flower and vine motif in blue, white, and red. This pot is a somewhat uncommon form and thus a desireable acquisition for a collection.

Very good condition with typical age related pitting in the enamel. The lid may be a replacement.
