Antique Ruby Red Decanter

The splendid richly saturated ruby color makes this hand blown decanter an easy pick. Its bulbous base and big spherical stopper pops out for admiration and attention. But the dazzle doesn't end there. The optic rib body adds visual excitement.

The previous owner's sales ticket indicates that this decanter once belonged to Massachusetts governor Endicott Peabody (1920-1987) who in turn was a descendant of Massachusetts Bay Colony governor John Endecott (c. 1600 - 1664/65).

The decanter dates to c. 1900.
