1 Antiques Petroliana Collection Is Growing
1 Antiques recently added 2 excellent gas station signs from the mid 1980s, farm fresh from a shed in south Fulton County, Georgia.
The smaller sign is road side or gas station direction sign for diesel fuel. The 4 x 3 foot sign uses the classic Gult logo and orange colors and was never installed due to installation costs and the takeover of Gulf by Chevron. This sign was the end of the road of the original Gulf brand.
The other sign is a highway sign meant to be mounted on a large pole. It measures about 6 x 6 feet and uses the green, orange, and blue color scheme, and is also in excellent condition. According to the previous owner, it had never been installed.
If you are looking for a statement piece, either one of the signs works. And while you are looking, don't forget to visit our listing for a Clark gas pump globe.
