This rare pair of posters from the 1932 US presidential campaign includes both Franklin Roosevelt, the presidential aspirant, and his running mate John Garner as vice presidential candidate. The lithographs are black and white drawing portraits of each candidate, the grey tones reflecting the somberness of the times. The Roosevelt poster is rare enough, but the one of Garner is even more scarce. Who remembers the vice president? Running as a conservative, Roosevelt won the election in a major landslide, earning the first of 4 electoral victories. The two posters are framed side by side in an amateur brown frame under glass.
