A dazzling antique amethyst vase of pear form body rising to a flaring mouth, its optic rib body expertly and meticulously painted with white, blue, and red flowers with subtly textured leaves. The highlights of this vase are the applied gilt bees swarming around the flowers in search of nectar which give sparkle and liveliness to the already excellent vase.
This vase is art - a diaphanous dance.
Though unsigned, we attribute this vase to Moser and Sohne due to existence of similar examples, and the virtuosity with which this one has been decorated. We date this vase to c. 1880.
