An unusal bronze champleve form, this pot is decoreated with a blue ground and white flowers, leaves, and stems circuitously wrapping the body. Two attached handles and a conical base with finely carved honeycomb design give additional features. The openwork lid is complete with green hardstone knop.
We date the pot c. 1890 to as late as 1910 or so.
