A fine antique Chinese jade carving of a ram the celadon color with dark inclusions naturalistically carved in the form of a recumbent ram facing rearward with hooves tucked beneath body. From our appraiser, "In the Chinese zodiac, the goat, often interchangeably depicted as a ram, is the eighth sign, symbolizing creativity, gentleness, and compassion." This jade dates from the 18th/19th C.
