A well preserved antique German regimental beer stein for the 9th Infantry Regiment showing various vignettes of military life including the garrison, home, training, and battle field. A likeness of Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria is painted opposite the handle. Atop the pewter lid stands an infantryman. The lithophane bottom depicts a man with his wife.
