This gracious and becoming antique optic rib ruby red decanter with hollow stopper is a mini show piece with its vibrant color and elegant demeanor. Information from its previous owner suggests that it was in the possession of Endicott Peabody (1920 - 1997) former governor of Massachusetts and descendant of Massachusetts Bay Colony governor John Endicott. While we cannot substantiate the information, we would date the decanter to c. 1900.
