A very good antique Whote Russian round wood box whose lid is decorated with a young man sitting at a table, leaning forward staring at a vessel. A Russian inscription below reads, "I will sit down at the foot of the mountain."
A small flower is repeated around the wall of the box. Underneath is a previous owner's identification of the box as White Russian.
We date the box to latter half of the 19th C.
