J Hoare & Company

J Hoare & Company is the namesake of John Hoare (American, 1822 - 1896), an Irish immigrant who settled first in New York City to resume the glass cutting business he had begun in England in 1848. Through different partnerships, he eventually assumed ownership of the company which finally bore his name.
