Roger Deering

Roger Deering (American, 1904 - 1980) was an artist known for his landscapes, seascapes, and portraits, primarily depicting scenes from Maine and Florida. He studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and was active in several regional art communities, including the Ogunquit Art Association in Maine.

Deering exhibited his work at institutions such as the National Academy of Design and was a regular participant in juried exhibitions throughout the mid-20th century. His paintings are characterized by a focus on natural light and a bold use of color, reflecting both realist and modernist influences.
