An antique Chinese carved jade toggle in the form of a qilong, with wings and head carved in the white portion of the jade otherwise of greyish celadon. The mythical beast is crouched with 3 holes drilled, 1 at the snout, 1 horizontally with the body, and 1 vertically from the top through the body. A channel on top guides the cord. It feels very supple in the hand. This jade is a 19th C. carving.
