A well painted vintage pear shaped Thewalt German beer stein depicting German rural homes flanking a central reserve of 4 women at a table. The verses read
lovely woman pleases the man cool drink from a shiny jug
The colorfully painted houses and people are set against cobalt ground with pearlized gold bands above and below. An ornate pewter lid is attached. The underside bears the Thewalt mark and Western Germany, dating this stein to c. 1960.
