The Wallace silver company history starts in 1833 when its founder, Robert Wallace, began producing plated flat wares. In 1875 the company began producing sterling objects. By the 20th century, it became the world's largest producer of flatwares, earning accolades for some of its designs introduced in the mid 20th century.
