An exceptional antique porcelain compote or tazza reserved for the finest foods, it stands on a round foot supporting a stout column upon which rests a generous deep bowl. The central motif is a garland of flowers surrounded by pain-stakingly applied blue dots which dazzles the eye. The rim is decorated with white fringe swags enhanced with gold as is the foot. The backstamp is Mortlock 18 Regent Street 4160 for the pattern number.
