Mortlock China Company

Mortlock China Company was a British porcelain retailer and distributor founded in 1746 by John Mortlock (1698 - 1758) which split in 1809 to operate as two concerns, one at 250 Oxford Street run by John Mortlock (1776 - 1837) and the other at 18 Regent Street run by William Mortlock (1778 - 1833). The former business operated until 1896, while the latter closed its door in 1933 or 1930 depending on the source.
