An antique stoneware jug with strap handle made by the English firm known colloquially as Doulton Lambeth. The top is glazed in light dark brown, with the bottom glazed in contrasting but complementary tan. These jugs were made in at least 2 sizes, with this one being the larger and more difficult to obtain. We date it to c. 1900.
