Dahlov Ipcar

Dahlov Ipcar (American, 1917 - 2017) was an American illustrator and artist known for her whimsical or surrealist leanings featuring animals. Her parents were well known artists who encouraged self discovery which lead her to children's book illustration, fine art painting, and murals. Her biography states, "Her works are now in the permanent collections of many important art institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, and the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
